We will celebrate the International Day of Peace by planting the newly born rose “Jardins d’Ansembourg” with the representatives of the national communities in Luxembourg.
On the occasion of the Heritage Days, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September, 10 am – 6 pm, guided tours of the rich heritage of the Grand-Chateau of Ansembourg, its barocco garden and the flora of the Eisch Valley will be offered, in three languages (L-F-D)
It will be an occasion for visitors and their families to reconnect with their Luxembourg and European roots in a playful dialogue with this historic site, and its multi-faceted cultural influences. Children will have the opportunity to enjoy creative sculpture and drawings workshops with their parents, and to discover through games the symbolics of the mythological alley of the garden as well as of the rose garden, and making it joyfully alive and meaningful again.
Handicraft from the Japanese Alps – Hida Takayama will be specially presented by representatives of this region, as well as the tasty natural vegetables and old regional varieties of apples of the Ansembourg garden.
