This is an astronomy course that is held in a unique site in Costa Rica, to learn also about the wonderful biodiversity and the conservation efforts in this National Park.
CIENTEC has organized this tour every February for the last 10 years or more, with great success. The simple beauty of the place, the projects to rehabilitate this wetland blessed with the enormous visit of migratory aquatic birds, and the spectacular dark skies make it a wonderful but very remote site.
Park rangers and visitors take part in this mostly outdoor experience. Participants stay under the stars two nights, and sleep during daytime periods in the Biological Station. The experienced is later shared through social media, collections of photographs, videos and more.
