The vision of the magazine is to promote and enhance sustainable tourism through inclusive tools and approaches. The magazine is aimed to be a vehicle to educate the public about sustainable tourism and communicate the message « Travel, Enjoy, Respect ». It is published for the general public and in English to reach international readers. Before the English version, there were five issues of Gilgamesh quarterly published in Persian about creative tourism, sustainable development, experience design and apps & tourism. Also, a campaign « read Gilgamesh, save water » is launched since there is no water used in the production of the magazine. The production of the magazine touches all five key areas expressed by International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, since it causes economic growth; it is an environmentally friendly publication; it creates jobs for many people; the articles are about culture and heritage and providing information about different topics, it causes mutual understanding.
