Solidary Routes | Travel and Cooperate program
Solidary Routes is a non-profit social project created in 2011 in the city of Porto (Portugal), which operates in the scope of Community Cooperation and Development.
Since 2014 we have been promote the Travel and Cooperate program in Porto (Portugal) and Boa Vista island (Cape Verde). We built trips that allow all parties involved – local communities, social organizations and travelers – to create relationships in which everyone cooperates and enjoys mutual learning.
Our mission is work in favor of the community and its sustainable development
Travel and Cooperate program provide to who participates in a unique experience of getting involved in the daily life of the community, living their essence, their culture, savoring gastronomy, enjoying natural charms while respecting local biodiversity and simultaneously contributing to community growth through the development of sustainable and lasting actions with the local population. The work developed for the benefit of the community provides the local population with contact with other cultures, realities and people, economic growth and the practice of fairer and more egalitarian tourism.
At the same time, the Travel and Cooperate program works to increase access to education for children and young people in every trip we organize, we invite travelers to donate books and teaching material to the community.
We promote plastic expression ateliers that have helped children to put their creativity into practice and develop the ability to express emotions and feelings. We put Art at the service of Children!
Training actions for 1st cycle students, tutoring and accompaniment to school work and dynamics of groups that have contributed to stimulate creativity, encourage socialization and especially to relax and have fun!
