Halt Poverty Madagascar
Halt Poverty Madagascar was launched by the end of November 2015 in response to the needs to empower human capital in tourism-based activities towards the clearing of local forests, and the high rate of unemployment within the following five regions: Amoron’i Mania, Ihorombe, Matsiatra Ambony, Vatovavy Fitovinany. The project has established initiatives which empower community to improve not only language skills, but tourism-related competencies. With the purpose to upscale the quality of Madagascar tourism workforce. The project hope to sustain the number of potential skilled people involved in hospitality, tourism, and tour guiding to get aligned with international standards. Contributing to environmental protection through eco clubs. Encourage local people to increase sustainable behavior in ways to tackle deforestation and keep their surrounding clean. Tourism can provide with means of escaping people’s heavy dependence on threatened natural resources.
