Visit.org is modernizing global access to impactful travel for consumers and social ventures (nonprofits and other community-based enterprises) around the world. The platform is the debut marketplace for social impact travel experiences. Visit.org meets the United Nation’s mandate to create sustainable consumption for travelers by working with charitable partners that promote causes such as sustainability, women’s empowerment, human rights, animal welfare, and heritage preservation.

The travel industry has an immense potential to generate economic sustainability for local communities. Travel and tourism are the world’s largest economic industries, earning $7T annually. Unfortunately, most of this revenue does not benefit local communities as only 5% of earnings are left in local hands. The only entities that can guarantee funds from tourism activities stay in the communities are the local social ventures that can offer unique access to their cultures. Visit.org makes this possible through its technology that enables social ventures to create and market mainstream tourism products.

Our commitment to responsible travel and sustainability is simple: 100% of hosts’ revenue is invested back into the local community. We aim to use modern business practices to increase our partner’s causes’ awareness and revenue to finance their missions. We provide professional photography, videography, and storytelling as well as advice and ongoing feedback to enhance each partner’s tourism offerings.

Visit.org is the world’s leading platform for social impact travel experiences and is pioneering the way for conscious consumers to travel more mindfully. The demand for authentic travel experiences has grown at a rate of 65% each year since 2009. There are 100,000 do-good organizations around the globe that have the potential to offer excursions. To meet the growing demand, Visit.org works with these social ventures to create tourism experiences that are unique to the organization’s cause. These short, immersive and impactful travel experiences can be added to any trip itinerary. Socially conscious travelers may engage in a myriad of community-driven travel experiences available in 64 countries. Currently offers consist of 500 activities from Peruvian weaving with Awamaki artisans ($60), cooking traditional meals with immigrants in New York City ($124), or saving sea turtles in Athens, Greece ($21). These educational experiences provide travelers the opportunity to participate in the local community in a meaningful and impactful way.
